Most of the albums have a printed cover, although leather, fabric and acrylic are also available. An album can start at about 20 pages, but most have 30 pages to better capture your memories. And depending on the printer, the album will start and end with a single page and have 2-page spreads in between. They are designed to lay flat so that the artwork is uninterrupted across the two pages.
